Meet Your Educator
I’m Anna Makowska, a fully qualified beauty therapist, educator and the founder of Five Star Beauty Academy and the award-winning Beauty Space Glasgow.
I gained my beauty education and specialist training in both Scotland and Poland. I continue to develop my knowledge through professional courses, practical experience and the treatments I perform every day at Beauty Space Glasgow.
For me, this work has always been about the person in front of me. I take time to listen, understand how each client feels and adapt every treatment to their individual needs. I adjust my touch, pressure and pace because I want every client to feel comfortable, understood and truly cared for.
I bring exactly the same approach to my teaching. Just as every client is different, every student learns differently too. Some people learn best by watching, while others need to practice a movement several times, ask questions or have it explained in a different way.
This is why I teach in small groups. It gives me the time to connect with every student, notice where they need extra support and help them build confidence without feeling rushed or judged.
I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and repeating techniques as many times as you need. My teaching style is warm, practical and easy to follow, and I adapt the training to your pace.
I will teach you the complete treatment routine, but I will also explain why we use each technique, what you should feel beneath your hands and how to adapt your approach to the person in front of you.
My goal is for you to leave the training feeling supported, confident and excited to use your new skills. I want you to create treatments that feel natural to you and make your clients feel welcome, understood and truly cared for.

How long is a training day?
Training normally runs from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The day is adapted to the pace of the students, so it may finish slightly later when more practice or explanation is needed — we never rush your learning.
