Questions

About this course

Still have questions? Get in touch

Do I need any experience to join?

No. The training is suitable for beginners as well as qualified professionals. If you are unsure whether your experience is suitable, please contact us before booking and we will help you choose the right option.

Which option should I choose?

Choose the one-day training if you want to focus entirely on Korean Head Spa. Choose the two-day training if you also want to learn facial massage, including elements of Japanese Kobido, and combine both into one signature treatment.

How long is a training day?

Training normally runs from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The day is adapted to the pace of the students, so it may finish slightly later when more practice or explanation is needed.

How many people are in a group?

Courses are taught in small groups, so every student receives personal guidance, can ask questions and practise each technique with support.

What is the difference between a Korean and a Japanese head spa?

Both traditions care for the scalp and both are deeply relaxing, but the emphasis differs. The Korean approach is built around scalp health: consultation and analysis, thorough cleansing and exfoliation, steam and targeted products. The Japanese tradition leans more towards relaxation and pressure-point work. This course teaches the Korean approach.

Is this the same as Indian head massage?

No. Indian head massage is a dry massage of the head, neck and shoulders, usually performed through the hair and without water. Korean Head Spa is a full scalp treatment: the hair and scalp are cleansed and exfoliated, steam and Head Spa equipment are used, and massage is one part of a longer ritual.
